Held on Sunday February 7th 2010
Every year our church gets together to watch the Super Bowl, enjoy fellowship and Food, and to root on our favorite teams. A part of why we do this is first to reach out, and second to have fun without the distractions. Most folks will watch the Super Bowl, we know that. We've decided to use this for God's glory. At Community Baptist Church, instead of commercials, we watch edifying clips, skits, and other videos. Also, instead of watching the half-time show, where who knows what can happen, we anxiously await to hear our own Roger Correll share some Biblical insights into the Big Game, and the relationship it has to our Christian walk. We had a great time this year, and hopefully you'll join us next year!Christmas Pie Drop
Held Before Christmas 2010
This past Christmas (2009) we had the opportunity to bake, and deliver pies to friends, family and neighbors on behalf of our church. Certainly one of the finest times we had was getting together to assemble the pies. It was a lot of work but by the end of the drive we had baked nearly 30 pies and all were distributed the week before Christmas! We'll have pictures up soon!Thanksgiving Dinner Open to the Community
